Connecting through Conversation

“If history were taught in the form of stories, it would never be forgotten.” – Rudyard  Kipling

  • How do you find out what is happening in your organisation?
  • Do you remember the conversations you used to have when the tea lady came around your office?
  • How much of your knowledge of your workplace came from these casual chats?
  • Does the culture in your workplace encourage conversation and knowledge sharing, or is it only considered work when you are at your desk facing a computer screen?

We all need to know more about our organisation in order to be productive and fulfilled in our work, ‘connecting through conversation’ is the best way to do this.  We have provided you with some resources about a number of different narrative techniques that you can use to explore the ideas and approaches that can be used to ‘connect through conversation’.

(1) Narrative Techniques: Anecdote Circles, Sensemaking, Most Significant Change and World Cafe

(2) Narrative Techniques: Reverse Brainstorming, Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Deviance and Technology of Participation

We also run workshops that take you through a range of different approaches, ideas and practical ways of using conversation and dialogue in your day-to-day life, so please contact us if you are interested in finding out more about how we can work together.
